As the world is having to adapt suddenly to online working, online counselling has been proven to be an effective way of supporting individuals. It is different to in-person counselling and will not suit all to this medium. However it can be beneficial and a good options to support during these uncertain times.
I offer face-to-face video sessions in realtime with young people from the ages of 11+. This takes place through 3rd party video services such as Zoom and Google Meet and allows for a more realtime synchronous therapeutic experience. I only work with young people privately when parental consent is obtained.
Over the years I have completed various different courses and CPD's for working as a counsellor in different environments (please click here to see my qualifications). With most recently an Open University primer course to help prepare to transfer skills to working online during this COVID-19 crisis.
I am currently working at Latymer Upper School offering online counselling to students.
Counselling in Schools
I offer in school counselling at a select number of independent schools. This needs to be negotiated with the school prior to any sessions taking place, but is especially useful for Prep schools pupils aged between 7 - 11 years old who are in need of more face-to-face support.
(Please note that due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions this service is not available right now)
