As the world is having to adapt suddenly to working online, online counselling has proven to be an effective way of supporting individuals. It is different to in-person counselling and not everyone will be suited to this medium. However, it can be beneficial and provides a good option for support during these uncertain times.
I offer face-to-face video sessions in realtime with young people from the ages of 11+. This takes place through 3rd party video services such as Zoom and Google Meet and allows for a more realtime synchronous therapeutic experience. (Please note, I only work with young people privately when parental consent has been obtained).
Over the years, I have completed a wide variety of courses and CPD's for working as a counsellor in different environments (please click here to see my qualifications). Most recently, I have undertaken, an Open University primer course to prepare to transfer skills to working online during the COVID-19 crisis.
I am currently working at Latymer Upper School offering online and face-to-face counselling to students. In addition, I am also working online with a number of private clients.
Counselling in Schools
I offer in-school counselling at a number of independent schools. This always needs to be negotiated with the school involved prior to any sessions taking place. This is especially useful for Prep school pupils aged between 7 - 11 years old who may benefit more from face-to-face support.
(Please note, that due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, this service is not currently available)
